12 Canadian Spitfire Pilots have signed a Limited Edition Print to assist the
Y2-K Spitfire project, on Vancouver Island. The Spitfire restoration, now in it’s 5th year of a total re-build is progressing well. The Y2-K Spitfire is Former SAAF Mk IX c Spitfire, TE 294 was grounded after a landing gear collapsed on Jan 4th, 1952. She was struck off charge on Jan 22, 1954. The restoration team at the Comox Air Force Museum on Vancouver Island have produced some quality work on this Spitfire. The restoration hangar is open to the public each Saturday for tours and thousands of aviation enthusiasts have visited the project to view the work and to talk to restoration team.
