Thought you guys might enjoy these photos I took at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. apologises for the medium quality (i’m still using a 1st gen digicam)
The highlights for me were the Fairey Firefly Mk5 and the Westland Lysander III. The Bolingbroke restoration is also on display and shows the progress very well.. unfortunately no one from the restoration team.
Overall the museum is very visitor friendly and you can get up close the planes as there are no restrictions.
I had a nice chat with the B-25 maintenance crew but the work they were carrying out.. had a nice walk through it. Also met 2 Veterans and one of them was kind enough to walk me to the visiting Corsair F4U.
Currently the museum offers rides in a Navy Stearman & a Texan at around C$300 for 30 mins rides.
An interesting account of the RCAF Search & Rescue C-130 landing for lunch and some more photos on my personal page http://zeeat.spaces.live.com but the interesting ones are here anyways.
