Greetings,
Don’t suppose any of the restoration folk on here happen to know where I can get hold of the following cockpit lamps.
ILS marker
Pilot Oxygen indicator
suitable for a Canberra TT18
Have never seen these advertised on eBay hence the request here.
Many thanks for any leads / help
regards
Cliff

Cliff,
I may have them, but I am making very slow progress in finding stuff at present! Hence the lack of a reply to your last letter.
I was in the shed today – depressing to realise just how much more I need to sort through!
Bruce
Hi Bruce, not a problem. I quite understand the pressures of new family members as well as work and other commitments. To be honest I’ve just moved house and so in no huge hurry for the parts. If you need help rummaging through the parts let me know..
regards
Cliff

Don’t know if this will help, but if you have the sect ref numbers then I would try natolamps.com. They hold many classic and legacy lighting items. I have just purchased most of the Hunter cockpit lighting through them.
Many thanks for the information… will add this to the list of suppliers for this and future projects.
Best regards
Cliff

Hi Cliff,
If you want a long term loan e.g. 6-12 month I can send 2 x dolls eyes, 1 off Type 9547 Tacan Indicator and 2 x indicator lamps c/w lens.
I’ve been slowly tucking them away for a reproduction TANS pilot panel to replace XH133’s pre TANS panel currently fitted to 175.
Looking at this years restoration work plan I do not think I will be ready for fitting out until next winter. So they would fill the gaps until you source your own.
Regards
Ross
Hi Ross,
many thanks for the kind offer… To be honest I would rather like to purchase the items but I may have to take you up on it if all else fails. If you hear of any coming on the market please keep me in mind. I don’t know if Bruce has this sort of item in his stocks will have send him a mail…
regards Cliff

Hi Cliff,
Which marker light?
Inner/Middle/Outer
The oxygen indicator is a magnetic indicator (dolls eye) not a lamp. Do you need both pilot and navigator or pilot only?

Ross
Hi Ross,
All three ILS markers and 2 X dolls eye, also on the look out for a TACAN indicator…
