Canberra crash 1958?

Hi all, i am asking for help in solving a question i have been asked by an olderly chap who was based at RAF Coningsby in the MT section in 1958.
He remembers a Canberra crashing on a Friday mid summer in 1958, the Canberra crashed near Coningsby killing the pilot. If anyone has any more information about the crash …… Canberra type , serial number or crew details is would be a great help.
