I thought Iβd post this as a separate item as I suspect a fellow forumite will be able to keep us posted with photographs from the project. π
Details about the start of refurbishment work on Canberra PR.7 WH791 at Newark Air Museum have been uploaded to the NAM website this morning!

Itβs a bit like a bus, two reports, one straight after the other β great work guys and gals, and the photographs are the right way round as well!! π
The project is now also being featured elsewhere including on our host’s website http://www.key.aero/view_article.asp?ID=6733&thisSection=historic along with several other locations β nice to see various pieces of coverage for this iconic British aeroplane!

Day two 1st Sep.. I Started with Some more rubbing down after a few hours me and Julian Warren set about fitting the new Nav’s window… So at long last 791 has a Nav window again… After that job we removed the pilot’s seat and the pan from the nav’s seat so Hazel can start the long job of cleaning the cockpit out.. Last job of the day was to open the flare-bay doors and I’ve got to say it looks good with them open… We also found time to fit the new flying control locks… Not bad for day two…

Great Idea T/O… I will start to post photo’s and any news on WH791 refurbishment hear as it happens…
We started work on Sunday 25th Aug 2013… It’s going to be a long road but it’s one we need to go down if we are to save this great aircraft…
I started the long job of sanding down the 7… Following round with etch Primer where needed… I also fitted a new Handel to the crew door as it was missing so now we can lock the aircraft… I also got the two blanking plates out of the forward camera hatch not bad for day one.

She was getting a bit untidy looking so good to know work has started on her.
