Canberra PR9 jacks

I am trying to locate suitable aircraft jacks for a PR9, I know that
the mains will be 10 ton, and the nose 5 ton. I need to know what
trestles I will require and the closed heights, and fully extended heights
for both types. I think the mains require MK1 trestle and the nose will
require a MK2 trestle, any infromation would be helpful.

I have some of these available. PM if interested. Located Southern England.

5120-99-786-0089
16 ton wheel change jack on unit

Bottle Jack Modified on paperwork (ex DARA St Athan).

No Idea how high they pump up to, but wheel change probably wont be high.

Don’t know if it helps, but everettaero has Ex RAF 5 ton jacks on their site for £400 each and the 15 ton available…….. If you can’t afford that ask if they would rent them, might be worth a go

AP101B-0409-1A gives

Main Plane
4Q/2141391 Body, Jacking, Hydraulic 15 ton
4Q/2533428 Adapter head
4Q/2141393 Trestle, Mk 2

Front Fuselage
4Q/4230826 Adapter head, Mk.49
4Q/4230830 Body jacking, hydraulic, 5 ton
4Q/4230643 Trestle, Mk 2

Remember to support the fuselage at frame 42 with UJ trestle No.7 fitted with former.

No raising heights given, just comment jack until wheels clear ground.

When Cosford fettled their aircraft for hanging they were using jacks and the proper adapter heads. May pay to give the Conservation Centre a buzz.

Can’t help with providing jacks I’m afraid as we’ve got none either, but as a fellow PR9 fettler could I be so bold as to ask which aircraft they’d be used for, purely out of enthusaistic interest?
