Noted outside Spitfire man’s house at spitfire corner /newquay airport. Was one of his Canberra noses.T22 WT525. I wasn’t lucky enough to be able to catch it. But a good friend did. Was hoping to catch it this week, but he informs me that as of today it’s disappeared 🙁 is anyone in the know able to tell me if Barry has moved it on? ( which case the chances of me seeing it again are slim! ) or was it just out getting an airing! Before returning in to storage along with the other noses in his collection. ?
Here’s the snap my mate managed to get.

I’d be very please to reunite and parts of WT525 with the nose section if you wish to donate them. She is now resident at Rosewarne College (part of Cornwall College) and has been joined by Jet Provost Mk3a XN 494. We are quickly approaching the part of the year where the students will be “attacking” her again with drills and bit of metal. I’ll post pictures when I can.

Delighted to see WT525 coming back together after some 20 odd years.
I must put my hand up here and admit that I was the one who cut it up in the first place (to fit in my garage). However, this did at least enable it to survive as the last remaining T22 cockpit.
Incidentally, most of the pilot’s instruments, the canopy and many other parts came from B6(mod) WT301. I still have the panels themselves which are slowly being re-populated and which will form the subject of another thread.
Small parts of WT525 still turn up around the house from time to time and a Blue Parrot radar set still lives in the hall (it wouldn’t go any further).

2nd July 2015, Camborne College had an Aviation day and WT525 had its first ever ‘airing’. This was set up by the campus aviation engineering instructor John Goodwin.
Hopefully the first of many, maybe one day I will be able to drag her up to the cockpit fest.

Preparing to be transported to Cornwall College for restoration in the next few days. Will be out of sight for the next few years whilst being ‘sewn’ back together.
Will be used to train engineers, etc on college courses and hopefully look like this when returned.
