The excellent Ken Delve ‘EE Canberra’ book says this,
My understanding is that the tail of WT518 was joined to the front and mid sections of PR.7 WH798 at the Wales Aircraft Museum, with the whole lot being scrapped by late 1991.
I can put this one to bed ( if not already done so on another thread ). When this COMPOSITE airframe was scrapped at WAM ( It was actually stored by WAM at the rear of Cardiff Wales Airport ) – the nose & centre fuselage was WH798 / the rear fuselage was WT518 and the wings were both WJ781. All of the a/c was scrapped with the only exceptions being the nose section complete with perspex PR type clear nose cone with centre flat glass clear vision panel ( not offset as B2 ) and the two main wheels. The rest of the airframe was reduced to produce at a non-ferrous metal scrapyard in Newport Gwent. I hope this information is of use. The cockpit ( mostly gutted inside ) went to a collector with connections to the Brenzett Collection ( I think it was a chap called Bill ? ).
