Lelystad Airshow alsnog afgeblazen 04-06-2009

De airshow in Lelystad gaat dit jaar toch niet door. Dat bevestigen Lelystad Airport en het Lucht- en Themapark Aviodrome.

Het festival gaat niet door, omdat de stichting Flevoland Airshow zich heeft teruggetrokken. Het is niet bekend waarom.

Het Aviodrome gaat op 29 augustus nog wel iets organiseren, maar dat zal de term vliegshow lang niet dekken, zegt een woordvoerder van het themapark.De airshow was financieel mogelijk dankzij een gift van de Bank Giro Loterij. Dat geld wordt mogelijk gebruikt voor een vliegfestival volgend jaar.

Short translation: the 4/5 July Fly-In will still go ahead as planned, but for reasons as yet unknown the “main airshow” the “Flevoland Airshow Foundation” pulled out as confirmed by both the airport and the museum.
The Aviodrome will “organise something” on the 29th of August but of course this can now not be a full-blown airshow…
