Jamie,

If you know where to look you can pick up an “as new” EOS 350D kit with full 1 year manufacturers warranty for around £340 – £360. I did 😀 . PM me for details if you are interested.

Picked one up two weeks ago, and still getting used to it after a Fuji S5000. Good to get back to an SLR after a couple of years away – and all my old Canon EF-type lenses fit the 350D too. Once you’ve tried digital you’ll never go back to 35mm film.

Film V’s digital? That a choice only you can make – two different ball games.

The EOS 1 is a superb film camera, but film is not a long term format in the common market place.

The 350D is a great entry level DSLR camera, and it’s a lot lighter than the EOS 1.
