Can't believe it's been fifty years

I have no recollection of the tragedy. What an appalling effect it must have had, at that time. The scars of those whose family and friends perished will not have healed quickly.

Long before my time but rings a bell somehow – must have glimpsed something about it before.

A very moving article I thought. From an era when the relatives were left to fend for themselves after such events (if the docu I watched on Discovery the other night is anything to go by).
