CAP/Interception Weapons Load

So everyone has seen Russian and Chinese Flankers Carrying 8-10 air-to-air missiles online for publicity/propaganda pics. But i notice when they are recorded intercepting US and western reconnaissance aircraft they have weapons load of four missiles of two IR and two AR/SAR. Is this the typical load out for CAP/Interception? And is it the same for US and Western nations?
