Gents,
I was wondering how much a crew on a ship can have confidence in its CIWS when under attack from antishipmissiles. When a missile is detected by radar how much chance is there that the CIWs actually guns the SSM (let’s say exocet or Kh-35) down ? Are there results known when test these weapons were tested ?
Why did the RN replace its 20mmCIWS by the dutch Goalkeepersystem ?
I know there are new variants of the 20mmCIWSgun under devellopment. Or will the attention shift more thowards the Roling Airframe Missile ?
