Cape Town

Passing briefly through Cape Town last week with little time for things aviation, I noticed in the distance what appeared to be an elevated Javelin at Thunder City. Can any body confirm with an image please?

Annoyingly on the drive past Ysterplaat Air Base the driver advised that the Shackleton had just landed some 20 minutes beforehand. 🙁

It is the ex RAF Stanmore gate guard. Used to love looking at it when I used to go to there with the ATC every other week for our physical exercise. It is now part of the Thunder City Collection owned by Mike Beachyhead, wish they would restore it to fly like the Lightnings
