Captain suspended for posting on Youtube!!!

Miyazaki, JAPAN – Another non-Japanese Captain has been suspended from his flight duties with Miyazaki-based, B737-400 operator, low-cost airline, SkyNet Asia (SNA), following the discovery of by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) of his photgraphs/videos on a public internet website.

Earlier this year, an American Captain who flies the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 for Osaka-based A-Net (an All Nippon Airways subsidiary), was suspended from duty for a similar action.
He has just this month been returned to duty for retraining.

Japanese Law prohibits the use of all electronic equipment onboard an aircraft, by passengers and crew, during take-off and landing, and it is understood the JCAB is monitoring public websites, with “special interest” in any material that may have been taken by crew.
To date only these two foreign pilots have been reprimanded.

It appears this video of an All Nippon Airways A320 was taken using non-electronic equipment.

I would love to see just exactly what it was taken with then! 😀

Hopefully the Singapore 777 captain will still upload videos regularly…
