President Hugo Chavez said that the government had approved a purchase of 40 Russian Attack helicopters. To be used for surveillance on the Venezuelan Colombian Border to fight Colombian right and lefties Paramilitaries
The president also said in a radio speech that the government was ready to by another 40 helicopters if needed
Does anybody have any more info, presume that the helicopters are either Hind 24/35 or Mi-8/17 models?
Are they gone be operated by the Army/Airforce?
