Hi all,
I had the pleasure of visiting the Carolinas Aviation Museum at Charlotte Airport North Carolina yesterday.
I will post some pictures for those who are interested, the highlights for me were:
1.) The Airbus from the Hudson river landing, suprised it ended up down this far but nice to see, very well displayed
2.) DC-7 that arrived 2 years ago to deliver the aircrew from the Hudson crash and then lost an engine on take off ending up on the pan whilst they wait for a an engine (offers welcome)
3.) C-130 was part of a mission that failed during part of the hostage rescue from Iran in 1980

The reason it ended up here is that Charlotte was the original destination of Flight 1549, which ditched in the Hudson.
Sad to see that the DC-7 is still there. I really hope they get it back in the air again, it looked and sounded great when they flew it at Oshkosh a few years ago.
