If its the same one I saw years ago, it was filmed mainly over West Cornwall, fantastic stuff!

Does anyone else remember seeing a TV documentary about Nick Grace and his Spitfire many years ago ? It included a sequence of him flying the aeroplane set to the music of Faure’s Requiem and was one of the most moving things I’ve ever seen.
Here’s a clip of the Spitfire flying at Hatfield last year accompanied by some Elgar. ( Put the kettle on, it’s 10 minutes long. )

I hope its ok to post a picture here but seeing this reminded me that i had photo of Nick Grace landing at headcorn on the 10th sept 1988.
On our flight down to headcorn my passenger said ” a 109 has just flown past” a quick glance to the left and disappearing into the haze was a spitfire !
Nick and i think Pete Kinsey were doing some joyrides in OU-V.
Such a shame about Nicks accident a month later.
