Some very handsome little chaps, indeed! Mine used to actually grab the flaps of his box and haul it around the living room for prime positioning. Second-best toy ever (after these things )

Incidentally, the smaller cat in the foreground is NOT my cat!

another thing about cats and boxes, the smaller the box, the bigger the cat that squeezes itself inside!!

Thankyou for your advice. I used to have six rescue cats at one time. I now only have this one. Giving pills used to be easy but this cat is not playing about. She is 22lbs in weight and has the strength of an ox,you ignore her at your peril when she wants feeding or she will bite you if you don’t,great at 3.00am . As cats go she will only eat felix meaty morsals and turns her nose up at beef, chicken, prawns and Tuna. So that’s your idea out Moggy(she is the only cat that has never got excited over Tuna) I managed to get the pill apart last night and powder it into a syringe with water and after a couple of goes she has had it. 28 more to go! Vet said they are not modified release so that was OK.3-4 years ago she put my wife in hospital for a week with cellulitus for being to slow in feeding her ! Still if you are a cat lover its part of life and we love her. I just wish we ran the place not her!

Having said all that she is scared of birds and if a Robin so much as cheeps at he she runs straight into the house and hides and then gets annoyed at us. Baz remember the problem I had with Starlings a couple of years back?(your advice shifted them) I thought the cat was going to have a nervous breakdown over it.

I have just had my hand ripped to shreds giving her the afternoon pill. 29 more to go so a rethink on that is in order! Still if you love them it has to be done!

Easy, place tablet between two spoons and crush, use upper spoon to loosen residue on lower spoon, pour a small amount (level) of (pouring) cream onto spoon. Offer bribe to cat and enjoy scratch free hands.
I found after a few days my sick cat would ask for her treat!

Tuna chunks, hand fed. Pill pushed inside second one. Watch cat like a hawk for two or three minutes just to make sure she doesn’t spit it out.

Sorted

My cat has just cost me £138 this morning because she has cystitis
£114 for the consultation and the rest for medication. If I had gone before nine it would have been £166 plus medication. This is with a 10% discount for pensioners. I have just had my hand ripped to shreds giving her the afternoon pill. 29 more to go so a rethink on that is in order! Still if you love them it has to be done! Why does she always choose a bank holiday to get ill?

Isn’t that just the truth. It seems to be something all cats do 🙂

I’m surprised it your cat as long as 90 seconds.
