Hello
The local news reported today that a Catalina, the ex-Greenpeace machine N423RS formerly at Duxford, flew into the former RNAS Lee-on-Solent airfield today for its new owners.
It joins the former Plane Sailing Catalina currently being rebuilt in one of the hangars on the airfield.

RE: Catalina flies into Lee-On-Solent
I’m sure that it would be expensive, but hey, if they are prepared to do it and get the bookings and finance it will be a great sight. Although I suspect one will be sold across the pond to fund the other.
I’m looking forward to seeing a Cat at shows again, its one of those ‘ i didnt realise i would miss it until its gone’ sort of aircraft.

Just a quick question for anyone in the know, when the Plane Sailing example is back in the air, will the operators be flying them together at shows. Wouldn’t this be awfully expensive to do?
thanks in advance
