I was sitting here ( 3 miles N SEN ) just typing a post on the Southend Vulcan, when I could here some approaching piston engines! A peek out the back door revealed a Catalina 500-800ft below the overcast. 😮
Just wondered where she had been, she was heading North West.

Got her on the radio on finals now, The BBMF are unable to get out of coningsby due to cross winds whilst the Sabre is stuck on the ground at Duxford Mustang has pulled out due to unknown reasons and replaced by a Hunter.

‘a Catalina’ or ‘THE’ Catalina? Are we talking about Plain Sailing’s white PBY-5A or was this another one?
