Just getting a bit concerned about the weight of a catalina with respect to the new legislation
quick look on the web found the following war time info:
Length: 63′ 10″ 19.4 m
Height: 18′ 6″ 5.6 m
Wingspan: 104′ 31.7 m
Wingarea: 1,400.0 sq ft 130.0 sq m
Empty Weight: 17,526 lb 7,948 kg
Gross Weight: 34,000 lb 15,419 kg
So I suspect that luckily the Rasta Cat just scrapes in to the lower level

I believe its based on MTOW, and as per the table on the Sally B website it falls in to the same 12000-25000 Kg band ??
although in the letter on the Sally B website they quote a ‘weight’ of 15150Kg whereas the CAA website quotes a MTOW of 22680 Kg..?? :confused:
