Hi all
I am assisting a friend looking into his late Grandfathers servfice as an RAF Navigator during the war. A request has been made to RAF Cranwell for his Record of Service and that is expected very soon. In the meantime however my friend is trying to discover the background to TWO caterpillar tie pins as awarded to members of the Caterpillar Club whose lives are saved by parachute.
We understand the records are maintained by Irvin Aerospace, could anyone please provide a contact name and address – post or email – to whom a request for possible info might be made.
many thanks

I put a post on this a few years ago, as I was trying to help a guy who father had won a caterpillar badge . I wrote to Irvins, but because i wasn’t family they wouldnt help me. So I passed the letter with the details on to the family.
