Cathay Pacific 747 – Buy on Ebay…

Cathay Pacific 747 – Buy on Ebay… – Well sort of.

Rather than placing this in General discussion, i thought it would be appreciated more here..

DesignQ from Redditch were creating a new interior for airline Cathay Pacific and needed a like for like “workshop” / “Demo”.

So, as the model is no longer required, the comapny is to place it on ebay!!! so here is your / our chance to buy a 747 interior!!! 🙂 😀

I dont know if it will go down well in the living room with the Mrs though!! 😀

The 40ft-long fuselage has been placed on the internet auction site by a design company, which used the mock-up aircraft to create a new line of interiors for airline Cathay Pacific.

With the project now complete, designers at DesignQ, based in Redditch, Worcestershire, have no need for it. (Sky News)

I have been looking at ebay but it does not appear to have been listed as yet… the story has only hit the press late last night and this morning so hopefully it will be online shortly…

If anyone find’s it on ebay, please post the link!

I was following the item and don’t think you can assume that E-Bay pulled it, the seller could have withdrawn it for some unknown reason.

As newforset says, when i posted above i meant that the seller looks like they have pulled it…

I think they may have had a private bid on it and settled outside of ebay for a decent price..

When i last checked it was only around the £2k mark..

i would think a private investor came in who did not want to be named.

THE sky’s the limit! For sale on eBay, a good-as-new 747 aircraft, one very careful owner.

The ultimate internet auction for aircraft enthusiasts is on the horizon, thanks to tiny Midland design consultancy DesignQ.

The Redditch firm is hoping to sell off a 40ft by 20ft 747 fuselage, built by its experts for global airline Cathay Pacific.

The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a 40-seater aircraft is being offered by DesignQ following completion of a major design project for the Hong Kong airline.
