So he donated them and they have now been sold on by the charitable trust. Doesn’t say an awful lot about their ethics.

John was a lovely man, but rarely spoke about the war. His proudest achievement was the test flying of the Comet. We spoke briefly about 604 squadron on one occasion, but only in its postwar role!

The proceeds are going to a good cause; cant be a bad thing.
