Very sad news – the aircraft is believed to be Cessna 310 N6834L, which was reported to have taken off from LBA earlier in the morning.
Taken from BBC news…
The pilot of a light aircraft was killed when his plane crashed in a remote Lancashire field.
A passer-by spotted the wreckage in a field near at Wycoller Country Park, near Colne, at 0940 BST on Tuesday.
Minutes earlier, the pilot had radioed Leeds Bradford International Airport after take-off to report a problem.
The Lancashire Police helicopter, a Search and Rescue helicopter and the North West Air Ambulance attended the crash scene.
A police spokeswoman said it was believed there was only one person on board.
Nobody on the ground was hurt in the accident.
