Hello,
I recently purchased a Cessna 310 Throttle and now I am a bit concerned that the paint used on the placards use radium?
I don’t have access to a Geiger counter, however the throttle was taken from a 1965 310J apparently.
Were Cessna known to use radium paint, it is my understanding that this throttle was produced by Shakespeare?

sorry i am late, as far as we can figure it is just paint and probably a decal too

@TonyT
That would be great thank you.
Thanks for your responses chaps, just had a bit of a scare with some toggle switches I purchased (AN3022) which was making me nervous.
From pictures I have seen these spacers were covered over by a separate cover when installed on the 310, I wonder what the story is behind that.

I would not think so. By 1965 the dangers were well known and they would not be open.

At face value it doesn’t look like radium paint which is normally crusty brown in appearance.

I would doubt it, I will have a look next week if I can find the manuals, they only normally use it on dials and behind glass. I can’t think of a Cessna that has any and I am licenced on them all and I’m still here.
