Our Heritage aircraft group is in desperate need of a couple of inner tubes for our CF-100. The Team leader advises the tube size needs to be 27″ by 6.5″ by 15″ If anybody can help in locating inner tubes with this size please contact me.

Cf -100 Inner tube
Harold
Hi I’m a volunteer at the Alberta Aviation museum here in Edmonton, Alberta and we also have a Canuck, I know there are spares around so I’ll inquire tomorrow if we have any inner tubes available.

Harold – the wheel you are refering to is a Dunlop AH9494 – a
similar sized wheel was also fitted to various marks of Vampires
and Venoms. This should make it easier to acquire a tube
– I would try DeHavilland Aviation at Bournemouth first.

many planes have this
Harold.
I read that the TSR2 has had this done and they move it around and also the arado 234 in the museum in washington has had this done and they tow it around also might be worth a try?

CF-100 Canuck Inner Tubes
We’ve heard about the Foam thing we’re not sure though if doing this would support the aircraft as we pull it around when it’s required to move. Ref the Cdn Goverment no help haven’t talked to Duxford to my knowledge will try them. Thanks.
