But, the great Avro plant at Chadderton will be closing finally on Friday March 2nd 2012.
Lots of chatter about a very large re-union and a big drink somewhere close by.
She had a long and slow death, following a glittering and historic life.
The best factory and people I have ever worked with.

Since I started at Woodford there were constant rumours of Chadderton closing so it’s ironic that it actually outlived Woodford in the end.
What a mess we’ve made of the aircraft industry in this country. 🙁
