Lined up so far are. 2 x Jungmann / 4 x Harvard Team / 3 x Spitfires / Bell 47 / Yak-11 / Extra 300 / 2 x Mustangs / 2 x Hurricanes / Turbulent Team / P-47 Thunderbolt / Storch v Cub / ME-109 / Utterley Butterley Team. Maybe some of the boards regulars can add more info.:)

I guess you must have had an answer from somewhere by now. But, just in case …
I got a post card sent to me advertising it. It says “see www.chaileyairshow.com for form”
I tried the website. Select Vintage Fly-in info from the left margin. It also says “No Spam Cans” in the notice!
By the way, I believe Jumpin’-Jacques is booked for the Isle of Man show that weekend.
No, had no answer and as there are no Spam Cans I won’t go, never mind, seen the stars of the show many times before!!! thanks anyway Janie.

Any ideas on what the rules are regarding flying in to Chailey?

By: sparky - 2nd July 2004 at 23:17

Ian, you’re coming to Chailey with a gun?
It wasn’t me who said that you looked like Christopher Biggins, it was Flood, he made me do it, he made me post the photo of the bouncy castle too. I’ve always liked you and I think that you make a valuable contribution to the forum, in fact, it really wouldn’t be the same without you.
Rob
Yeah like I believe you, are there any decent pubs nearby that we could meet for a drink afterwards?

I’ll be there on both days. I’m bringing along Sqn Ldr Franek Kornicki and his wife on the Saturday. He commanded 317 Sqn just prior to their move to Chaily in Feb 44 and had also flown HAC’s Spitfire Vb BM597 during his time with 315 Sqn at Woodvale in 1942.
Another former 597 pilot Flt/Lt Wladislaw (Joe) Zajaรง has offered me his service revolver, which I hope to pass onto HAC for safe keeping at Chailey.

Fingers crossed I’ll make it to Chailey.
I have to complain, though, that you Brits have the nasty habit of spreading your air shows over time. I had to choose between going to Chailey or to the Legends, as I couldn’t possibly make both, although I’d love to. Why aren’t they, say, two days away from one another?

I’ve booked the PA22 in.
Wonder if it will be back in time?

Hey, I actually came up with that idea! I read in a paper a few months later that some company had picked up the idea and was using students to do it! ๐ก

Dammit, this is what I hate about living up here! Only historic airshow we get is on the same weekend as Legends! ๐
