The War of the World

A new series on a Hundred Years of War and the History of conflict throughout the 20th Century.

Historian Niall Ferguson argues that the 20th Century was not a series of conflicts, but one long 100 year period of slaughter driven by race rather than ideology as the empires of the east asserted themselves over the west.

The series starts with 1905 conflict between Russia and Japan, moving onto the 14-18 war and the brutality of the early Soviet years.
