He….may….annoy….you….but….it is better than having no historical aviation on terrestrial TV.
Is it? I’d rather have none than factually inaccurate stuff.
And if he refers to aircraft being made of steel again I think I’ll scream!

Well indeed but unfortunately much TV presentation leaves a lot to be desired, so I try to minimise the irritation. In fact I did not enjoy the first two very much, so missed the Tuskagee……must see what the subject is next week.

Much is made of the Tuskegee airmen but Joe Bloggs on the street might get the impression they were the only black or minority pilots that flew and fought for the allies. It’s an oversimplification that could be addressed. I know of quite a few people that feel they have only negative connections to British history and think they have no connection to the two world wars due to their race… if only they knew.
A quick Google brought up this interesting link. http://www.caribbeanaircrew-ww2.com/

Once……again……the…..stilted…..presentation……of…..Lord……Ashcroft……and……his…..nude…..glove…..puppetry…..was………..highly…..annoying…..

I started watching the Tuskagee programme but there were so many errors in the first section I switched over. The crash programme was considerably better, although I’d have done with rather more on the preparations and analysis, with rather less repeats of 727 flying.

Be aware it says it starts at 8.00 not 8.30 in the sky planner
