Charity begins at home?

Lets hope that in the days to come, those that think that charity begins at home put that thought to one side to help those who are suffering in the Philippines.

It’s good to see that the UK, as always, is among the first to offer help and support.

Sending huge amounts of money to countries i do disagree with as i suspect very little of the money ends up where it is supposed to go.Sending practical stuff that can be used, eaten, drunk, administered as medicine or made into shelters for temporary housing i agree 100%.

Normally I might agree but in this case I’ll trust the charities to buy what they with the money we provide.

Well, there’s hope yet! I never in my wildest, thought that I would ever agree with anything you would write. Yes, I do believe that charity begins at home but, if this isn’t a hugely deserving cause then I don’t know what is.

I have just dropped off a huge pile of clothing, culled from our wardrobes, to the local Filipino restaurant for onward transmission to Mildenhall then on to Clark / Vilamor

Little enough to do. But it makes me feel I have done something
