The flight supplements charged by tour operators charter airlines to fly from smaller UK airports is ridiculous. I live close to LBA but never take IT flights from there. The supps are regularly £60 and upwards yet from MAN further north they are a lot less.
Also even airports in the south such as Bournemouth and Southampton carry high supplements.
Scotland is ludicrous. The tour ops charge upwards of £100 per person flight supps from ABZ.

These supplements are based on what tour operators can get away with rather than economics.
A friend flew SFB from LGW on a double-drop at GLA,
the LGW pax were charged NIL and the GLA pax an extra £175!

Thats right! They want you to use LGW if you live in the south or MAN if you live in the north. They would really rather not bother flying from the likes of LBA and HUY but the customer wants it. So they make families pay through the nose same as they make them pay during school holidays.

Realy, all it is about is the tour operator trying to persuade you to flay where THEY want you to fly from.
