If anybody is going be advised that the military police will inform the civil police of any vehicles that stop and look over the fence. You will be stopped and searched and this will almost certainly delay your journey. Also note that very little is photographable from the outside, indeed it is not always possible see everthing that is in storage. On a positive side there are several well preserved airframes on the airfield. A Mirage III at the main gate and one or two others behind the admin building may not be easily seen from the airfield, this is worth a walk to search them out. Also on the opposite side of the main road from the airfield is a large admin building which has a pole mounted Mystere B2, at the last airshow this area was used for car parking.
