Sukhoi completes delivery of fighter aircraft to China

– “The Chinese People’s Liberation Army/Navy took delivery of the final platforms in its order of 24 navalised Sukhoi Su-30MK2 fighter aircraft in late August.”
– 178 total Russian AC delivered in past decade.
– “In addition, China’s Xian production facility has taken delivery of components for 95 Su-27SK fighters for a combined total, to date, of 273 platforms.”
– “sources in Moscow are confident that Beijing will contract for an additional 24 navalised Su-30MK2s before year-end for delivery in 2005-06.”
Putin may bring up co-dev. opf 5th gen fighter in upcoming visit to China, which will require $12-15 billion US. Sukhoi also hoping to upgrade Chinese Flankers.
