Chinese VSTOL or VTOL tests …. ????, … have there been any ???

Regarding an ongoing project I’m currently working on I would like to ask if anyone knows anything about possible Chinese work on VSTOL / VTOL projects.

All I found so far are two rumours regarding tests with the J-6 and thoughts about a possible indigenous Harrier-version !
But I regards them more a rumour than truth:

Anyway too … what designation would a VSTOL fighter – in the class of the AV-8B or Harrier – carry !???!
