Chinook over Manchester

Hi guys, long time no post!

I’ve just seen an RAF Chinook land on Platt Fields Park in Central Manchester.

It descended from about 500 feet to circle the area once, before setting down for about three minutes. Typically, just as I got there with my camera, it took off again, heading North-East. I didn’t see any cargo dropped off, or people being picked up.

Anyone have any information?
