Chipmunk ground start plug.

Hi all

Can anyone tell us the ref no for a Chipmunk T.10 Ground / Start plug, to fit the socket on the port side of the nose?

Or even better, does anyone have one spare?

Many thanks.

Hi Rich

Do you mean the plastic/bakelite socket? If so store ref should be 5C/859

Redundant ground socket.

Rich, I will see you over the weekend, the socket you require was removed from most Chippys on the civil reg. some years ago on a CAA mod. There should be a few about as they were made redundant by what was basically a useless Mod.
Happy landings Phil

Hi Terry

Yes it’s the old round 2 pin type fitted to the chipmunk. But it’s interesting to see the adaptor, never seen one of those before, but I will know what it is if I ever do!

Power Plug Adaptor

As a ground equipment item it will be in section 5G. Now, not quite what you aked for but 5G/3495 was an adaptor to allow the use of a more moden “NATO” style 3 pin 28V dc ground supply plug to mate with an old round two pin socket, as I guess was fitted to the Chipmunk.
But , no I haven’t got one!

Hope this helps,

Terry
