Has the Chippy pilot ever been identified.

I would say it would be an amazing coincidence for you to miss a Chipmunk by ten feet at Sibson!

Oh that’s just my luck – i’m doing a sponsored skydive at Sibson in about three weeks!

Here, there is a link into the CAA website. The skydivers reported an Airprox which occurred on 31 July 2004 over Sibson at around 1645 hrs.
The chap who took the video stated that he thinks he owes his life to the fact that he spotted the Chippy at the very last moment and deployed his main chute. If he had left it a fraction of a second later, he believes he would have collided with the aircraft with fatal results to himself and the pilot. He goes to say that he estimates the Chippy passed within 10 feet of him 😮 😮 😮
One very lucky chappie!
The aircraft involved has not been traced.

I don’t have any further details – the video caption is dated 2004 so it should be well documented.
