Chipmunk WK638 trade

Hi all,

I hope all is good with everyone. It’s been a while since i last logged on here and since thenthere has been a few changes in my life. I now have a new girlfriend which probably means that I am going to move down south. With property prices so much more expensive I have to be prepared that I probably wont be able to afford a house with a garage…so i thought I would put the feelers out to see if any of you good people had a smaller project that you might like to swap (ideally something that could fit in a typical garden shed.)I will consider anything. I cant seem to attach photo’s as im using my phone but will happily email them to you. The project is a cockpit section and rear fuselage.
Thanks for looking
Gavin

Gavin,

I’ve a smaller Chippax plus some Auster’s but thats all i’m afraid. I made the Flea Mike now has (in the 90’s not 60’s) so ask if you need more pics. Would love to own a Bede again if you fancy arranging a 3-way trade ?

we have a Flying Flea project fuselage and tail will fit in a 10 foot long shed you will need a bit bigger room for the wings.cockpit and undercarriage complete tail fabric covered and all in paint but needs metal work for engine mounting and pylons for wings,Engine needs a rebuild but includes parts and brand new prop and oil tank and fuel tank etc.Plus full set of plans and details. And can be made to ground run and taxi easily and can be transported around to shows etc fairly easily.

Hi Mike, this sounds really interesting. Do you have any pictures you could post?

Lots of chipmunk stuff on evil bay recently including canopy and wings and tail bits.so plenty of stuff knocking about to make it more complete.

This was how it was in 1963 with Oxford UAS at Bicester (behind WZ860).
I wouldn’t mind having it but I am just a bit too far from you Gavin.:
