Choice of venue on Sunday

My fathers day treat is a free choice to visit anywhere I like. Well, obviously there is the show at Kemble but with recent events at Duxford and Cosford, I’m not sure I have the stomach either to get up with the larks or to sit in traffic for hours (in and out). I more relaxed alternative is to exploit the value of my Friends card and go up to Duxford for a nice stroll around. Does anyone know if there is any flying scheduled at Duxford for the Sunday? Or of any other smaller shows/fly-ins on the Sunday?

Another option is to bring your trip forward a day and go to the Saturday evening display at Old Warden….

If any of Duxfords based aircraft are displaying at any other displays you may be either a, lucky ,see them depart and arrive back at Duxford,or B, be unlucky in the fact they’ve gone out and don’t get back 🙂
Theres more than enough there to keep you busy.

I believe they have Model Flying show on at Duxford on Sunday, which is great if you like that sort of thing but will probably limit any full size action to brief time windows during the day.

I went last year and had a good time and I think they are supposed to have a number of large models, so it could be fun…

Check it out here.
