Christen Eagle G-EGLE

White Waltham has many Pitts Specials, all of which have lovely colour schemes.
But the Christen Eagle has one of the most colouful, very pretty plane.

It has been around for a good few years now.
Originally built for Spencer Flack. I remember seeing it when it first arrived at Elstree back in about 1981
Lovely looking little biplane!

G-EGLE facebook page

Hi

For anyone interested I’m maintaining a Face book page for G-EGLE.

I’ve been in the Eagle group for about three years now, and fingers crossed the eagle will be going through an overhaul in a couple of weeks.

I still haven’t made my mind up about which paint scheme to go for though.

Happy new year

Yes I believe so. I think there were options on the shades of colours illustrated…
Aparantly the kit came with virtually everything you neded and each kit part (e.g. tail surfaces, fuselage, undercarriage etc) each had their own manual included and even a razor blade to cut open the vacuum packs!

Ooh nasty. Naked Razor blades? can’t have that, what would the elf ‘n safety police say?

Think this has always been a standard colour or color scheme for Eagles, not overstated but very effective.:)
