Dread to think how much ballast weight needed to counteract nose heaviness.

Nice pic

Overpowered Camel?

Unlimited upward torque rolls and prop-hanging a real possibility then?

So a CamelGriffon does exist – or is it just a mythical Greek beastie:D

Peter am I allowed to compete ?

She’s looking good!

P.S. That engine may be slightly overpowered for her.

Definitely not!
Do you think the 4 x 1/4″ firewall studs may be a bit light for that engine then?

Airdrome Airplanes, Robert Baslee (Aly Construction) Sopwith Camel.

Well done that man!

CD, the engine does look like a Kestrel, it`s actually a Griffon which happened to be there, sorry, couldn`t resist.

As a point of interest, the Griffon fits within the diameter of the Camel`s firewall, a testimony to the compactness of the 60° V12.

Hmmmm…. let’s see…

low aspect ratio parasol wing, no ailerons, V 12 engine, 4 tiny main wheels with a cargo tray suspended between the oleos and an open cockpit….

Tough one this :diablo:
