Christmas Present for a Camel

The instrument panel has just landed for the Sopwith Camel flying replica we are building, from Aero Vintage, along with the seat.
We are going to have to work hard to prevent the cockpit from putting the rest of it to shame!

Definitely a thing of beauty.

Happy Christmas to all.

Now that’s got me confused.

I’m restoring a compass like that, and had concluded that any destined for night flying were painted black, and if not, left in brass.

You’ve got both?

The panel looks excellent
I have to questions,
1) where did you obtain the holder for the pocket watch?
2) if made in house , what material was used.

I have had a mould machined in aluminum and made from an original.
Now all I need is to identify a liquid rubber product to pour into it.
Any suggestions?

Camel

Nice work of art. Sets a high standard for the whole build.

However, I think the rev range is a bit optimist for the Griffon, whereas the speed range pessimistic 😀

Happy Christmas to you and Panda.
