Hi,
City Airline will inaugurate nonstop service from Gothenburg to Birmingham on the 27th October 2003. City Airline will operate 3 flights a day with an Embraer 135 in codeshare with bmi.
Thanks

Hi,
I think if this turns out to be be unsuccessful it will be City Airline which pulls out first.

I can’t see two airlines both competing successfully on BHX/GOT. I give it six months before one of them withdraws the route.

The same happened on the Manchester route, BA and City Airline went into competition and so BA suspended the service. I don’t think there was enough demand to sustain the route, therefore, I don’t believe that Birmingham will be any different. But anyhow, as long as the price structuring is competitive then ultimately it is for passengers to decide.

Hi,
I hope City Airline do well on this route but 5 daily flights from BHX to GOT might be pushing it a bit.
Thanks

duo already operate 2 CRJ’s daily between BHX and GOT, wonder which one will last or if they will grow the route between them.
Good to see the smaller airlines, not just the low cost carriers, starting new routes though.
