Apparently been confirmed elsewhere that a VC-10 has been acquired by the collection and will be flown in.
As stated by wingcomandrflap as well, ZA148, ex-5Y-ADA, will go to Newquay next Wednesday: http://www.classicairforce.com/vc10-preview

I flew in this Dragon about 4 years ago at Sheffield before it was closed. Slowest plane I have ever been in:D Hmm, maybe not.

Shackleton to be replaced on the gate by a Wessex (yet to be resprayed into SAR yellow)
Shack to be airlifted by a Jolly Green later this year.
C47 has since been sold and flown out to Germany, currently used for pleasure flights over Berlin.

WL795, Shackleton AEW2 gate guard is relocating to the collection I was told by a member of staff, last time I was there, and just maybe moved by air-lift unless that’s just wishfull-thinking.
Now, would that be housed in the hangar or stay outdoors, like it now does?

Did the same paint layout on Dominie ZK-AKU years ago and as far as I know it is still the same. Just conjured it up as a representative Transport Squadron scheme. loosley based on 42 Sqdn, RNZAF

Three, being familiar with both the Mawgan cantilever hangar and the Super Hangar at Saints where VC-10s were serviced, I would think the Classic Flight hangar is tall enough – just.
Personally I think that this discussed scenario is the most practical one to get a VC-10 preserved in a current museum building, however I think its pretty likely going from the VC-10 threads here that only Cosford and Brunty will get one.

I popped in Thursday and surprised to see the ex-Retro Aviation Swiss Venom pod at the back. Perhaps it’s a future kiddies plaything ?
I don’t think Retro ever owned it as such – they were hoping to sell it on Classic’s behalf. Classic Flight should have 2 Venom’s that are not airworthy, along with the two that are.

B) the amount of space other aircraft could be using to shelter from the British climate and C) it appears that CAF are looking to put together a flyable fleet , what are the chances of flying a VC!0 in privatye hands?, I would have thought a Comet would have been a more achievable goal but theyve all been ground bound for so long that that looks like a pipe dream too.Let the boys down there do what theyre doing and lets hope its not too long before the twin pin gets some air under its wings, Whilst im typing, What about a Viscount? Now theres something i would like to see on the circuit!

The Twin Pioneer recently moved from the flight hanger to the restoration hanger.
The blue Canberra has moved from outside to the flight hanger.
