Well what a truly fantastic day. Congratulations to all those involved in organising and supporting the day.
A flight in a DC 3, followed by a tour of the hangars and static aircraft plus the Shackleton running up at full chat. Marvellous.
We rounded off the day with a visit to Midlands Air Museum, a forst for me, which was a real treasure trove.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Some great pictures here, they really sum up the hive of activity! My dad has just emailed me this picture from his birthday Rapide flight, which makes an interesting comparison with the Prentice one…

It just so happened that I took my daughter to Warwick Uni open day yesterday and so dropped into Baginton – well I had to pass the door 😀
By mid afternoon, the weather was pretty poor but I looked over MAM for the first time then tried for a few photos of the happening.
Any of you recognise yourselves here – this was just after 3.00 it that helps.

It looked a little like this and may well be historic on May 5th.

A great museum.

Some pics of the static a/c
The tour also went inside a few of the a/c such as Twin pioneer, Dove and Pembroke, plus through the hangar where an electra was on a major service.

Looks as if you had a great day Tim. Like the shot over the engine.
