Pagen,
Not sure of the rules regarding positioning flights, all I can say is contact the office and ask them.
I don’t know what the plans are for the Heron when it is finished, the rules apply to varying levels depending on the aircrafts weight, but they do apply to all public transport, passenger carrying aircraft in the EU to some degree.

The Pembrokes cannot do public transport flights as they operate on a permit to fly.

It is all very civilised and you can see alot more than modern airliners. The engines sound sweet and the aircraft has a nice solid feel about it. I am hoping to go again after flying in G-AMPY with Intra in 1976 and then 2006. Just show’s they don’t wear out.

Also, these regs that will effect Dakota passenger carrying, will they effect other historic types, such as Rapides, Pembroke, Heron, Ju-52s etc

Are the rides only from and to the same airfield or can you book on lets say the Cardiff to Exeter positioning flight?

Hello
After her indoors gave her permission I got a flight on a classic flight Dakota to Flying Legends.I was just wondering how many Dakotas the classic flight as.The UK warbirds guide at was free with Mays Flypast past lists only KK116 G-AMPY.
A web search shows its history and says its Cofk expires on 4.7.08.I was just wondering if any body knows if other operators plane or planes would be used.

Three: Two used for passenger flights namely:
G-AMPY (operated in RAF colours, hence its inclusion in Flypast’s “warbirds” supplement)
G-AMRA operated in civilian scheme

One involved with a radar research contract:
G-ANAF in civil pinkish red (or redish pink 🙂 ) scheme not used for passenger work.

Here are some pictures of them I took during some of our recent flying days at Coventry:

Last time I flew in a DC3, I found the best thing was, look IN the a/c, one can look OUT of anything, anytime. Apart from a look at the wings and engines from time to time

Same goes for 2 seat Spitfire’s Just listen, feel and enjoyyyyyy!

You can still still a fair bit out even from the aisle seat (or so I seem to recall). The pitch used for the emergency exit seats are a dream. Don’t forget to stretch out and relax 🙂
