I had a 1/48th scale model of F-YF. Perhaps it was the Wing Commander rather than CO? I have a feeking it was flown by an ace. Great photo.

Great shot, almost looks like it was shot modern day in black and white! I like the depth of field, everything tack sharp from the nearest plane to the farthest…great shot…any notes on who the Photog was?

Cheers Daz,a classic pic as you say. There was an excellent article on 611’s CO of the time SqnLdr Jack Charles in Aeroplane last month,with this photo included. The article states that Charles’ personal aircraft was FY-Y,so it seems odd that FY-F should be leading the formation in this photo.
